Wendy Rowe is a world-renowned make-up artist, best-selling author and beauty expert who has established herself globally. With over 20 years of experience, she has a unique knowledge of International beauty and wellness that spans the industry. With the expertise from development at Max Factor and Burberry, she has accomplished market-leading products that have sold worldwide. Combining her artistry and her book “Eat Beautiful”, Wendy is sought after by the likes of Chloe, Ralph Lauren and Sonia Rykiel for her expert advice and beauty solutions.

HAVE A ROUTINE

The number one area that stabilises and synchronises with your energy levels is sleep. Sleep allows your body to recover and re-energise itself ready for the next day. A good habit to get into is to set a time each night for when you can switch off and head to bed, the right amount of sleep for your body not only improves your functionality but optimises your energy levels during the day, resulting in a more alert mind and body.  

What does a typical morning look like?

My mornings always start with drinking hot lemon water but other than that there are two types of mornings for me, I either go to the gym early and then take @teddybearrowe for a walk or if I have a job it’s usually an early start, so there is not much time for anything else but prep!

What is one thing you have to do before turning out for the night?

I always have to cleanse my face.

BE MINDFUL OF YOUR DIET

Going hand in hand with both exercise and energy levels has to be your diet. Once you start to fuel your body effectively with nutrient-dense foods you will see a dramatic increase in your energy levels. Avoiding cheap processed nutrient sparse foods and replace them with fresh and wholesome products that will spark your energy levels. Whether it’s bananas, brown rice or what is considered to be a super food like avocado’s, incorporating them into your diet will carry you through the day sustaining your energy levels rather than a quick burst and then a tailing off like the effects of crisps, sweets and chocolate.

 

INCORPORATE A TREATMENT

Beauty and technology has certainly advanced into a space where we can stimulate our body’s own natural responses to achieve what exercise and diet can also do. STAY HYDRATED

Not only a rule for clear and radiant skin but staying hydrated throughout the day is essential for keeping you alert and energised. As a way of boosting your metabolism, drinking enough water has a positive impact on your energy levels.

 

What is your morning skincare routine?

I always wash my face with cold water, then tone with the Cryo Pre-Activated Toning Cleanser and finish with a moisturiser. Which moisturiser depends on my skin’s needs at the time and can differ depending on weather.

What products do you add into your routine at night?

Again, depending on how my skin is feeling, I do like to add in the Meso Infusion Leave On Overnight Mask as I feel like my skin needs the hydration boost.

What is your go-to beauty look that you feel confident in?

I have always made sure that I look after my skin. So, I feel confident with just a moisturiser and if I want a little more, I will just wear a BB Cream and some mascara.

Do you workout? What workouts are you obsessed with?

I love working out, for me it’s an essential as it makes me look and feel amazing, it also gives me some mental time out. I like to alternate my workouts and at the moment I’m obsessed with Hot Pod Yoga as it helps to sweat out all of the toxins whilst stretching the body. I love doing Body by Simone (a custom programme by celebrity trainer, Simone De La Rue), which I have been doing for years as it’s super fun, so it doesn't feel like a workout. I also like to do some weight work for this, so I go to see Lee at Workshop Gymnasium as he has such amazing knowledge of the body.

Everything is about a balance and to always be authentic and have fun.

The secret is to always think ‘am I being kind to my body?” and this follows sleeping well, eating well, working out and nourishing the skin.
