Five Make-Up Looks To Try This Spring
The start of a new season is the perfect time to experiment with some new make-up looks. The arrival of Spring hopefully means the chance to freshen up and lighten up our usual routine, and introduce a bit more colour into it. It’s time to sort through your current make-up, get rid of any old or unused products and invest in some new season trends. Here are five looks Team 111SKIN can’t wait to try out this season.
-
Eyeliner Flicks
This look isn’t new and usually popular all year round, but this Spring things have gone a bit more subtle. Eyeliner flicks were a strong look on the Spring/Summer 2015 catwalks and a look you can easily recreate at home. It is perfect to wear to work, but you can exaggerate the flick to easily take you from daytime to evening. -
Berry Stained Lips
Berry lipsticks and stains are usually a look we see throughout Autumn, but you can keep wearing your favourite shade through Spring as well. To create a lightly stained lip start by applying light coating of foundation to your lips and the lip line. Apply the berry shade directly from the tube and then use a blotting paper to lift off most of the colour. -
Taupe Eyeshadow
Brown no longer equals boring, as taupe is one of the hottest colours this season. Another look that is incredibly wearable and easy to recreate at home. This eyeshadow look is very versatile and can be customised to suit the occasion, taupe by itself if the perfect daytime look but you could also incorporate it in a smokey brown eye when you want something a bit more neutral than blacks and greys. -
A Pop Of Colour
Brighten up dull spring days with a subtle pop of colour around the eyes. This look is perfect for anyone because it can be easily adapted, switch up the colours you use and wear you apply them to find a look that suits you. If this is still too bright for you, then introduce yourself to the trend slowly by applying a coloured eyeliner to your lower waterline. Purples, dark blues and mint green all work well. -
Lavender
This sweet and subtle look is the perfect way to welcome Spring. It adds a gentle pop of colour to your daytime routine and, just like taupe eyeshadow, it can be used as the base for a smokey eye. A combination of purples are perfect for Spring evenings when black and grey feel too heavy and cold.
