Eva's LA Black Book

Hello everyone,

This October we visited LA to launch 111SKIN's Celestial Black Diamond at Barneys New York. The collection has launched across all Barney's store over the last two months, so we've been very busy. To celebrate our launch at Barneys, customers could have a personal skin consultation with Yannis and also be treated to a luxurious Black Diamond Facial, whilst hearing all about this exclusive collection. During our time in LA, when we weren't busy with work, we managed to visit a few of our favourite shops, restaurants and cultural spots. I love travelling to LA, there is so much to see and do. So I've put together a list of some of favourite places to visit, restaurants to eat and much more for you.

Hotels

The Four Seasons Hotel is one of my favourite places to stay while I'm in LA, and it's close to the shopping on Rodeo Drive which is always good. There's a spa onsite if you need an escape from busy LA, and excellent restuarants.

Another great hotel I highly recommend in LA is Mr C. I love this boutique hotel because all the rooms have private balconies so you get panoramic views of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.

Culture

If you're in LA then you must visit the Guggenheim Museum. It's the ultimate cultural stop and I love the garden tour they do.

The Getty Museum is another wonderful cultural hotspot LA has to offer. The Drawing In The Age Of Reubens exhibition was on when we visit, but there is always plenty to see. Don't forget to visit the breathtaking Central Garden (pictured above)

Shopping

Of course no trip to LA is complete without a trip to Barneys New York! And you can stock up on all your favourite 111SKIN products whilst you are there.

The Grove is a huge outdoor shopping complex and a must-visit for me whenever I'm in LA. With a huge range of shops and restaurants you could easily spend the entire day here.

For all things fashion and cosmetics then you must visit Fred Seagal

Of course no LA shopping trip would be complete without a trip to Rodeo Drive! A two mile stretch with more than 100 luxury fashion boutiques and hotels for you to enjoy.

Restaurants

Machuhisa is hugely popular in LA, and is run by the chef Nobu. It is one of my favourite restaurants and definitely one to visit if you love Japanese cuisine.

If you love authentic Mexican cuisine then you must visit Red O. With their list of speciality cocktails, this restaurant makes for a great start to any evening.

I love Soho House for it's beautiful 180-degree views of Los Angeles. If you're looking for somewhere to go for drinks in LA, then Soho House tops my list.
