KENYA
A refreshing take on safari experiences, Kenya is where your imagination can run wild with the beauty of Africa’s natural terrain. Whether you opt for a more intimate connection with the animals and wildlife or a larger affair, the Lewa Conservancy and the Masai Mara Game Reserve will welcome an authentic safari adventure. World famous for its game drives and conserving the community, both locations promise to create a unique delight unspoilt by the outside world.
JAPAN
The seamless blend between new and old, traditional and contemporary, is why Japan is on the list of destinations to travel too in 2020. Aside from being the location for the Rugby World Cup, Japan opens up a plethora of activity from the ski slopes in Niseko, wandering through the bamboo groves in Kyoto to an immersive experience wrapped up in the traditional foundations of the country. For places to stay, hoteliers are becoming inspired by the new found interest and the Aman group have recently expanded with a new opening in Kyoto and Ian Schrager will also be bringing a new Edition hotel to the Toranomon district in the summer.
UTAH – AMANGIRI
A place of escape, tranquillity and exposure to a starry night, if you are requiring a similar experience to the Northern Lights then Utah, is your next travel location. Awarded for their after-dark landscapes and astronomy-based activities, Utah has the best Dark Sky Parks to indulge in for an intergalactic adventure. Submerged in a lunar-like retreat, the Amangiri is a unique gateway for a one of a kind experience. Embracing the minimal and tranquil environment and infusing it within the architecture of the resort, the Amangiri is a beautiful location that centres itself around a transformational encounter.
THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
Coming back better and stronger, in the wake of hurricanes Irma and Maria, the Caribbean island is destined to provide you with the escape you need. Focused on rebuilding and rejuvenating the island, the destination is perfect for encountering a more laid back and ‘untouched’ approach. From the lush hills and valleys of Virgin Gorda to the coral island of Anegada, the simple beauty of the island will make it a must see for this year.
OMAN
If wanting to encounter the modern touch of Arabia without losing the essence of an ancient soul, Oman is a great destination to explore in the Middle East. Located on the south eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, it promises to be nothing less than exquisite. Rich in heritage and glorified by its culture, Oman offers low key experiences that you can discover without the hassle. Whether the Grand Mosque or Mutrah Souq, you will certainly take home a piece of the country’s heart.
London
Submerged in history, art and diversity, London as a city break is an experience you must encumber this year. From world-class shopping destinations like Harrods and Oxford Street to visiting the iconic art, fashion and music institutions, the experiences of London will include a chaotic agenda. Resting up in idyllic hotels like the Bvlgari with in spa treatments provided by 111SPA/CLINIC, you can recuperate whilst being in the heart of the city.
India
Unmatchable cuisine, inspiring landscapes and a country soaked in delightful culture, India stands as one of the destinations that you have to visit. Mixing traditions, architecture and landscapes for an out of world experience, India stands as a location you have to witness. Home to a number of heritage hotels and royal palaces that exudes culture, comfort and class, you can experience the finest whilst exploring the purest of cultural art forms. Rambagh Palace has been restored by the Taj Group to deliver an exquisite indulgence like no other as periodic décor is coupled with modern amenities that is full of history.
