What skin concerns do models most suffer with during fashion week? How do you address these issues?

Their skin often looks a little tired and lacking in energy and radiance, it can become congested and inflamed due to city pollution, make-up and flights between countries and shows. I can easily address this with a mini facial pre-make up before a show and this will immediately add radiance and vitality and also give a plumpness to the skin. Essentially, deep cleansing, detoxing the skin and adding a natural glow preps the models skin for any show. I always work the skin to make it a more even and smoother canvas for make-up and I find the 111SKIN range has a variety of products that cover all aspects of skincare and at the same time keeping the whole experience bespoke.

What mini-facials do you perform backstage?

I always start by deeply cleansing the skin, toning to re-balance PH levels and then apply the masks as needed. For masking it depends on the model’s skin type but for the final stage I love to finish with a facial massage to help products absorb efficiently, add plumpness and create a radiant glow. The massage technique is a bespoke set of movements specifically related to each model’s skin and facial muscle needs, it incorporates a relaxing deep tissue movement that sweeps along the jawline and down the neck to open the lymph system. Then moving up the contours of the face, it releases tension, stress and toxins, whilst adding a lift to the muscle to accentuate jawline, cheekbones and the eye contour area whilst remedially relaxing the face mind and body..

What products do you suggest?

For cleansing the skin I recommend the Cryo Pre-Activated Toning Cleanser, it gently exfoliates the skin whilst reducing the appearance of pores and brightening dull complexions. Following this up with the Antioxidant Energising Essence or the Hydrolat Anti Blemish Tonic to balance the PH levels and minimise oils for a fresh and clear complexion. For facial masking I like to multi-mask and play with the Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask for radiance and brightening, the Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask for soothing amino acids and the Celestial Black Diamond Lift and Firming Treatment Mask for intense lifting, toning and brightening. I add this over the eye masks for multi-functioning, working with the Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Mask for de-puffing or the Celestial Black Diamond Eye Mask for anti-wrinkles and tightening.

Any Other Recommendations?

Only if you need it I would go with the Y Theorem Repair Light Serum, it is ideal for brightening, defending against environmental damage and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. A great addition would have to be the Rose Gold Radiance Booster for radiance and highlighting and the Cryo ATP Sports Booster for energising the skin.
